How we're funded
BritBet Index is free to read because it is affiliate-funded. Some of the links to operators on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then open an account with that operator, we may receive a commission.
That commission is paid by the operator from its own marketing budget. It does not add anything to what you pay, it does not change the odds, prices or promotions you are offered, and you are under no obligation to use our links at all.
What commission does not buy
This is the important part. Commercial arrangements have no influence on our editorial work:
- A brand cannot pay to receive a higher editorial score.
- A brand cannot pay to be presented as a winner or to hide its weak points.
- Commission rates are never a factor in how products are scored or described.
- We will criticise a partner's product where it deserves it.
Scoring follows the fixed, published method on our Editorial Review Policy page. Funding sits entirely outside that process.
How you'll know
Affiliate links are flagged near the comparison on the homepage, and outbound commercial links use rel attributes that mark them as sponsored. If you would rather not use an affiliate link, you can always navigate to an operator directly through a search engine.
Our independence
We are not owned by, and do not act on behalf of, any of the betting brands we review. We are a publisher comparing products — not a bookmaker, not an operator, and not a regulator. For the wider picture of how the site works, see our About page.
